Website update

Hi All,
I have put the photos from the xmas party on the web site just follow the link on the front page to find them, they are in the 2007 photo area, the pictures are unprotected so you can download them if you want.

I still have to put the results from "Swim wales dragon meet" on the results page and now we are half way through the west wales 2008 meet I have that to do as well, you can find a link to the west wales web site on the links page.

Also we still have the photos from the Ceredigion Championships to catch up with, this will all be done soon.

Bev is no longer taking photos for the web site so if you have pictures you would like to put on the site please email them to admin@aberaeronsc.com , they will all have to be approved by the coaches before publishing.

I want to take this opportunity to thank Bev for the last 2 years work because as with all the work that we all have to put into making the club such a success she has devoted long hours over the computer ensuring the pictures are a credit to the web site.

Well done to all our swimmers at West Wales, half way through and we already have some fantastic results, not only are our swimmers breaking PB's but they are picking up awards at all levels.
Outstanding performances so far from Hawys who has swept up no less than 6 golds and Carys who has grabbed 4 golds and a bronze, Emlyn has 2 golds 2 silver and a bronze and Megan has got herself 3 silvers in the same events as Hawys..(club 1,2) Our 10 year old girls had a clean sweep in the 100m Free with Hawys Chelsey and Megan 1,2& 3! The 10year old girls also took the bronze in the 200m medley relay the team being Hawys, Chelsey, Megan and Lolly (9 years old), Good luck to you all this coming weekend.

all the best AD.

Web Site Stats
Hi All,
We thought you would all like to know how the web site has been doing, the bar chart shows that visits are up over the last 6 months, it does obviously vary due to swimming galas etc, the most visited pages are always the photo pages and it was noticed that the tri county gala page raced up the list with over 10,000 hits  to 7th place against well established pages from last year.

Thank you to everybody who visits the site both members and swimmers from other clubs because without you it would be a empty graph!! I also hope you like the recent changes because the web site has to be an ongoing development to keep it interesting. I would also like to thank all the people who have passed on ideas some have progressed into new or changed areas in the site and others have not however all are very welcome so please don't stop.

Club Awards
Well done to all swimmers who were recognized for their performances over the past year at Tuesdays Awards night.

Presentations were made by Debbie and Helen based on official times achieved in all four strokes by Swimmers, at Gala's throughout the year.

New Members were rewarded for representing the Club in Individual and Team events. Rosettes were presented for times achieved in 25m Swims then Bronze Medals through to a Trophy for the 50m and 100m Swims.

So Swimmers don't forget to look at the Awards Table so that you know what you are aiming for next year.
Keep improving on those PB's

Debbie on behalf of the Club thanked Alun and Sharon for their impressive Fund raising Walk for the benefit of the Club.

Also a big thank you to Robert Thomas, Chairman of the Aberaeron Town Improvements Committee for the cheque presented to our own Chairman Julian Evans. This was money collected at the Town's Bicentenary Carnival.

Lastly the achievements made by our Swimmers would not be possible without the dedication and time put in by our coaching Team.

So the biggest thanks from all at Aberaeron Swimming Club go to Helen, Debbie, Sharon, Elaine, Heather and Sioned.

Get Well Soon IWAN
Get Well Soon Iwan from everybody at Aberaeronsc....

just for you.

A man walked into a doctor's office. What do you have?" the receptionist asked him.

"Shingles," he replied.

She told him to sit down.

Soon a nurse called him and asked, "What do you have?"

"Shingles," he replied.

She took his blood pressure, weight, and complete medical history. Then she took him to a room, told him to remove all of his clothes, and left.

After a few minutes the doctor came in and asked, "What do you have?"

"Shingles," the man told him.

The doctor looked him up and down and asked, "Where? I don't see them."

"Out on the truck. Where do you want me to unload them?"

Dyfed Fast Water Meet
Hi All,
We've just got back from Llanelli where the club competed in the "Dyfed fast Water Meet" this is an all relays event and it gave our younger and new members a chance to experience a noisy Gala atmosphere, Llanelli is a great venue and just right for them to open their swimming accounts. Well done to everybody who took part it was great to see our swimmers put in so much energy with most of them competing against older
competition. To mention some names: Matthew Parry, Steven Moseley, Angharad James, Hannan Briddon and last but defiantly not least our youngest  Hetty.... a big well done to you all
