Great news! Emilie has been selected to represent Wales in the ”UK Schools Games,” to be held in Scotland on the 7-11th September. Emilie will swim in the Under 16's, 2 events the 100m Backstroke and the 50m Medley Relay Backstroke. 

Sporting venues for the inaugural UK School Games were announced on Tuesday as Glasgow declared itself ready to welcome 1,200 youngsters from all over the UK, who will take part in this new multi-sport event for the most talented teenagers in the country.

Further details about the UK School Games, which is being organised by the Youth Sport Trust, were revealed at a press conference attended by Scottish Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sport, Patricia Ferguson MSP and legendary Scottish Olympic swimming champion David Wilkie. 

Swimming will take place at Tollcross pool.
Swimming will see eight teams from the under-16 age group competing against each other on the Saturday - four from England, two from Scotland, one all Ireland and one from Wales. Ten disability events will also take place in the pool.
